LADY'S HISTORY MONTH! COOL!

I didn't forget this. Now that I've been reminded, I thought I'd let you know about some cool new lady bands that seemed to be making noise without my knowing it. Mind you , they're not very progressive but they are pretty fun & exciting & they all play instruments so that is very cool.

I have a pic here of the legendary NO.1 DRUMMER OF ALL TIME IRLENE MANDRELL. She is still & WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST. I don't understand why there aren't anymore female country bands around. But those country ladys lately have been very cool, but there are some good lady rockers out there so I'd like to tell you about them. Some may sound pop but I would hope they get a little aggresive in due time. I'd like a bigger list but I do believe it will get bigger eventually.

1. 5, 6, 7, 8's -amazing band you may have seen in Kill Bill Vol. 1.
2. the FADERS -great name for British band.
3. the LIKE
4. the SOUNDS [they're dudes in it but they're still pretty good]
5. EISLEY -family bands are still cool.
6. DEVO 2.0 -WOW LITTLE DEVO LADYS COOL!
7. BREAKERBOX This lady kicks!!


They may not be the heavy progressive rock bands I'm waiting for but it's something for now & they're not just little waste's of space, like everyone else is now. They're showing little girls that it's ok to play. that's ok in my book.


I've been in a rampage for all my classics ever since poor cool Bill Beutel passed, so I'll talk about that fiercely in my next bleecchh! Oops, sorry Blog!

IT'S AN OK MONTH FOR MUSIC!

WOW, how fun! Daria & I have been shopping & found lots of neet little things to celebrate & to talk about!
1st: I"ll get this over with the Grammys! Everyone that deserved to lose did, [I should've made bets!-next year I will-any takers?]. So it was an ok nite. I don't know how certain people thought they were going to walk away with the big prize. IT WAS SO FUNNY! The show wasn't great but it still knows how to get the job done. Well done Grammys! Even though you nominate the sucky artists you always do the right thing! [Even though you didn't nominate Lisa Marie Presley you idiots!]

Everyone cool is back! Queen is back, Kris Kristofferson is back, David Gilmour is back, the GO-GO's are back, so overall march has been a very good month. Cool old shows are back! [I've recently purchased the great FAME DVD of their 1st season & no matter what Leroy & Bruno still rule!!]

so I think I'll recommended some cool DVDs even though I hate DVDs & all associated with this technology! But if it must exist it is only fitting that you watch only cool things!

5. RETURN OF THE CHAMPIONS-QUEEN [if only to prove that they can exist without Freddie!]

Blondie got in to the R'N'R Hall Of Fame, but not without a fight. You'd think they were Creedence Clearwater Revival, now THAT was a fight!

The GO-GO's are on their 25th Anniversary tour! Now that is amazing! They still rule!
Apparently Genesis is back too. Let's see how many of them!
Collective Soul is a great band! They were the only decent band to come out of the horrid 90's!
The 'NEW' Cars are sort of back,at least their opening for Blondie & not the other way around!!
David Gilmour's new record is amazing! GET IT!
Too bad he's not doing 'Blue Light'!
